Join Tasmanian Alumni for an afternoon of networking and guest speakers as we celebrate 75 years of Australians volunteering overseas!
This year marks the 75th Anniversary of International Volunteering, a significant milestone in the field of volunteering and international development.
You are invited to join fellow alumni for an afternoon of connection and reflection on the impact of international volunteering. Hear from past volunteers Allison Anderson and Lorise Clark as they share stories from their assignments under the Australian Volunteers Program and reflect on the experiences, relationships and lessons that shaped their volunteer journeys.
Allison recently completed an assignment as a Sustainable Eco-Tourism Development Mentor in Indonesia (December 2025 to June 2026), while Lorise volunteered as an English Proficiency Trainer and Curriculum Development Mentor in Laos (February 2025 to January 2026).
When: Sunday, 29 November 2026, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Where: Kickstart Arts, New Town, Hobart
RSVP: Humanitix
There will also be an opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, meet people interested in the program and share your own volunteering experiences and memories.
Snacks and drinks will be provided, with catering by the Community Kitchen Project.
Please feel free to share the event through relevant networks. If you know anyone who’s interested in becoming an Australian Volunteer, bring them along to hear alumni reflections.
If you have any questions about the event or any access or support requirements to help you participate fully, please contact tasalumni@australianvolunteers.com so we can assist and arrange any reasonable adjustments.
We hope to see you there!
